Operating Instructions
Opening and Closing
To open your window, simply turn the locks from the
left to the right, and lift the bottom rail upward. If you would like
to open the top part (sash) of your window, simply pull down on the rail
at the top of the window. When you close your window, make sure that the
upper sash (the top part of the window) is all the way up. If it is not,
your window may not lock properly.
Ventilation Latches
Ventilation latches are located on the top sash to prevent the bottom
sash from opening more than 2 or 4 inches. There are two different styles
of ventilation latches. If your ventilation latches have ridges on them,
push them in and up at the same time, and they should pop out at the bottom.
If your ventilation latches are flat, pull the bottom of the ventilation
latch toward you. Please not that ventilation latches are not standard
on all windows.
